Balkan Blast at the Telegraph, or How I Plan to Kick Bulgarian Butt

Two weeks ago telegraph station 307 was overrun by a combined force of Romanians and Bulgarians. In a surprise raid a small group crossed the border 12Km away, intent on destroying the telegraph station. Not content with just cutting the lines they came armed with black powder ready to completely destroy the station. 
Romanian fusiliers backed up by Dorobonti militia and a handful of Bulgarians stealthily crossed the border and worked their way through the fields and woods until they could pounce upon the station.  They observed the signalmen and their Grenz guards and waited until the guard mount was being switched to strike right before the replacements arrived. A feldjäger unit has been dispatched to recapture the telegraph station and capture or kill any enemies found there before they can retreat with the telegraph equipment and blow up the station. If the station is found to bedestroyed they are to pursue any enemies back to the border.

Sneedville Campaign

 Working the Army of the Pines to retake Sneedville.   Based on the Knoxville campaign plan Hey Diddle Diddle, I provided three courses of action for General Stiner; 1-2 Secure Parkey Gap and Rebel Hollow to deny Commander Patton and his Jones' Army the ability to advance west from Sneedsville. 3-4 Secure Riley Church and establish a forward staging area to retake Sneedsville. 5-6 Hold the crossroads south of Hopewell Bridge to deny rapid access to Tazewell and Cumberland Gap. I rolled a two and issued the following order; Rapidly deploy the horse regiments from Harrogate and the combined Sneedville, Bean Station regiment (minus) to secure Parkey Gap. Follow on with the remainder of the Army of the Pines to reinforce the position and deny Jones' Army access through the gap.  Be prepared to advance on Sneedville on order. Parkey Gap Holds!

  "Parkey Gap Held! " Disposition of Forces The Army of the Pines under the solid leadership of General Stiner has met the Kingsportion Jone's Army and driven them back.  The taking of Parkey Gap holds the Kingsportions at bay and opens the way to liberate Sneedville. A small force of bold Knoxville men met the invading Jone's Army and stopped them cold.  The action took place approximately fourteen miles from Sneedville at the Northern end of Parkey Gap.  Troops from Barbourville Dragoons and a combined force of Sneedville and Bean Station men, colloquially known as "the Orphans", established a blocking position and soundly defeated the overwhelming forces under the leadership of Commander Mathew Patton.   The initial volleys rendered the vanguard cavalry regiment the 1st Duffield Lancers ineffective as they scouted the abatis obstacles.
